When a child needs acute crisis stabilization for an emotional, behavioral or mood disorder, The Horsham Clinic is here to help. We treat children ages 4–12 in a positive, compassionate environment.
We understand that it may be difficult to place your child in inpatient hospitalization, and we are committed to helping each child return home as quickly as possible. Inpatient treatment is intended to provide short-term care, with a step down to our partial hospitalization program after discharge as needed. Our goal is to help young patients and their families fully understand their illness or problems at hand, develop effective coping skills and build self-esteem so they can return home and back to school.
Inpatient treatment for children is offered at The Horsham Clinic’s secure, scenic 55-acre campus in Ambler, Pennsylvania. Young patients are separated by age, and receive treatment in a different unit than older patients and adults. Our goal is to provide a secure, trusted environment where children can take steps toward a healthier, happier future.
We encourage children in our care to develop resiliency skills that can help them endure loss, chronic stress, traumatic events and other challenges they will encounter on their road to recovery after they are discharged.
