Phyllis Weisfield, Chief Executive Officer
Phyllis Weisfield began her career at The Horsham Clinic in 1994 as the Director of Social Work. Since that time, she has held several positions at the hospital, including Clinical Director, Assistant Administrator, and Chief Operating Officer. In 2005, she was appointed to the CEO position. Ms. Weisfield has worked exclusively in the behavioral health field for the past 40 years in direct service and administrative positions. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Temple University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University, and remains strongly committed to the principles of the social work profession.
Dave Mauermann, Assistant Administrator
Dave Mauermann is the Assistant Hospital Administrator and the Director of the Horsham Clinic’s Partial Hospital Programs. He started his career with the Horsham Clinic in 1990 as a Mental Health Technician. Mr. Mauermann oversees all of the support services at the hospital (dietary, plant operations, transportation, and housekeeping) in addition to the partial hospital programs. He serves as the facility’s Compliance Officer and the Emergency Management Coordinator.
Mr. Mauermann’ s experience in developing and leading partial hospitalization programs recently resulted in the expansion of services for children and adolescents into a new Chester County satellite location.
Mr. Mauermann has over 28 years of experience in the behavioral health field, with a specialty in children and teens. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Muhlenberg College and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Gwynedd Mercy University.
Kathleen Nichelson, Director of Human Resources
Kathleen Nichelson, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), has been employed at The Horsham Clinic since 2000. She’s a seasoned professional with 18 years of human resource management experience. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of HR practices notable experience in strategic human resource planning, performance management, staffing, federal and state law compliance, employee benefits, compensation, employee relations, payroll, training and development, and management coaching.
Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources Management from DeVry University. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Jessica Hallenbeck, Director of Admissions
Jessica Hallenbeck is the Director of Admissions at The Horsham Clinic. She is responsible for overseeing the admission process for the inpatient units and the partial hospital programs. She began her career at The Horsham Clinic in 2000 as a Mental Health Technician and has since held various positions including Human Resources Specialist, Social Worker, and Program Coordinator for both the Bucks County Partial Hospital Program and the child and adolescent inpatient units.
Jessica has over 15 years of experience in the behavioral health field. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Union College and a Master’s Degree in School Psychology from Northeastern University.
Calvin Litka, Director of Nursing
Calvin Litka, R.N. is the Director of Nursing of The Horsham Clinic and also serves as the hospital’s Infection Control Preventionist. Mr. Litka graduated from Ursinus College with Bachelors in Psychology in 1980 and began his career in behavioral health as a Mental Health Technician. He completed his Associates in Nursing at Montgomery County Community College in 1983. Mr. Litka joined The Horsham Clinic in 1985 and has held a number of positions in the nursing department including Charge Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, Program Coordinator and Assistant Director of Nursing. In 2013, Mr. Litka was promoted to Director of Nursing.
Kimberly Smith, Director of Business Development
Kim Smith is the Director of Business Development at The Horsham Clinic. She began her employment in August 2008 as a Professional Services Liaison in the Business Development Department. Kim was appointed to the position of Director of Business Development in May 2009. She drives the marketing efforts for the hospital and manages the Marketing Team. Kim is also responsible for contracting, credentialing, advertising, social media and website management.
Kim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Widener University and a Master’s Degree in Human Service Management from Western Maryland College. She has worked in healthcare for more than 20 years with a primary focus in geriatrics and mental health.
Robert Kovar, MD
Medical Director for Child and Adolescent Services
Dr. Kovar, M.D. has worked at The Horsham Clinic in many capacities over the years. He was first employed as a registered nurse before returning to school and earning his M.D. at Temple University School of Medicine, followed by the completion of his adult residency (at the Institute of Pennsylvania Hospital) and child fellowship (at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Center). Dr. Kovar has been the Medical Director for Child and Adolescent Services since 2001. He has supervised dozens of child psychiatry fellows from The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Drexel University School of Medicine, and residents from Temple who are doing their elective in child psychiatry. He continues to enjoy his work here and draws inspiration from the strength, resilience and humor of his patients and their families.
Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family, doing triathlons and practicing meditation.
James B. Congdon, MD
Director of Adult Services
James B. Congdon, M.D. is Medical Director of Adult Services at The Horsham Clinic. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has been a member of Horsham’s medical staff since 2002.
Dr. Congdon is a 1977 graduate of the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine. He completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at the Presbyterian – University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, and a Psychiatric Residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining The Horsham Clinic, Dr. Congdon served as Clinical Director of the Lighthouse at Mays Landing, NJ, was Chief of Psychiatry at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, Pa. and was Clinical Director of the Fairmount Institute in Philadelphia.
Jagruti Amin, MD
Jagruti Amin, M.D. is a board-certified Child Psychiatrist in the Child and Adolescent Partial Program on our main campus in Ambler. Dr. Amin has worked at The Horsham Clinic since 2001.
She graduated from Topiwala National Medical School in Bombay, India with a Bachelor of Medicine degree. The doctor completed a residency in psychiatry at the University of Medicine and Dentistry’s New Jersey Medical School. She also completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Center.
Dr. Amin’s prior work experience includes Medical Directorship of Northeast Medical Center’s Partial Hospitalization Program in Concord, North Carolina. She was also an attending physician for child and adolescent psychiatry at Charter Pines Behavioral Health System in Charlotte, North Carolina, and was attending physician for child and adolescent psychiatry at Charter Fairmount Behavioral Health System in Philadelphia.
Isabella Dyakovetsky, MD
Isabella Dyakovetsky, M.D. has been working in the adult units at The Horsham Clinic since 2001. Before coming to The Horsham Clinic, Dr. Dyakovetsky worked at Hampton Behavioral Health Center in Westampton, NJ. She also operates an independent practice in Southampton, PA.
Dr. Dyakovetsky completed a residency Adult Psychiatry at the MCP – Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. Her previous work experience includes working at a state mental hospital in Tashkent, Uzbekistan as a Staff Psychiatrist and a State Medical School in the Department of Psychiatry.
Dina Ann Greco, D.O.
Dr. Dina Ann Greco, DO is board certified in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry. She completed her medical school training at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated from her residency in General Adult Psychiatry at Albert Einstein Medical Center, in Philadelphia. She then went on to finish her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and completed her clinical rotations at The Horsham Clinic during that fellowship.
Dr. Greco recently joined Horsham’s medical staff in August 2018, serving as the primary psychiatrist on our Children’s Inpatient Unit.. She also treats teens on the Inpatient Adolescent Units.
David Danish, MD
David Danish. M.D. is board certified in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed his residency in Adult Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and completed his inpatient clinical rotations at The Horsham Clinic during that fellowship.
Dr. Danish joined The Horsham Clinic’s Medical Staff in August 2012. He treats children, teens and adults in Horsham’s inpatient units, and assists in our Ambler Partial Program and the Assessment and Referral Center.
Dr. Danish strives to employ evidence-based treatment in a compassionate and conservative way. After working with thousands of patients with various disorders, Dr. Danish is fully aware of the limitations and side effects of existing psychiatric interventions. He prioritizes staying abreast of the most current treatment literature and limits the use of medical interventions unless clinically necessary.
In the past, Dr. Danish has served as the Medical Director of a ketamine infusion clinic for treatment resistant depression and he now has his own outpatient psychiatric practice in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
Olumide O. Oluwabusi, M.D.
Olumide O. Oluwabusi, M.D., MRCPsych, joined The Horsham Clinic in July 2013. Dr. Oluwabusi (Dr. Olu) is board certified in Child, Adolescent, General Adult and Forensic Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM).
Dr. Olu is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. The Horsham Clinic has a partnership with that institution. The faculty position includes supervising the child psychiatry fellows, and he has twice been awarded Faculty of the year by the Drexel University Child and Adolescent fellows.
Dr. Olu successfully completed adult psychiatry training and received the MRCPsych certification from the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in London, United Kingdom. He completed a residency in Adult Psychiatry and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA.
He also completed Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychotherapy program at the Philadelphia Psychoanalytical Center, Philadelphia. He received CBT certification from the Academy of Cognitive Therapy (ACT).
In addition, he completed his Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship at the Law and Psychiatry Division, Department of Psychiatry, at Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut.
His areas of interest include Addiction Medicine, Psychopharmacology, PTSD, ADHD, Tourette’s syndrome, Psychosis, Mood disorders, Ethics in Psychiatry and the Legal aspects of Psychiatry.
Andrew Simonson, MD
Andrew Simonson, M.D. has been with The Horsham Clinic since 1996 and has served in several different departments including our Assessment and Referral Center, Partial Hospitalization Day Programs and Inpatient.
He received his training in Adult Psychiatry at Temple University Hospital and completed a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia/University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine Program.
Evan J. Thomas, MD
Evan J. Thomas, M.D. started his career at The Horsham Clinic in 2003. He currently is the Psychiatrist for our Adult Partial Hospitalization Program. Dr. Thomas oversees and works with the team in developing effective treatment strategies for clients who attend the program. He is a graduate of Temple University Medical School in Philadelphia, and completed his residency in psychiatry at the Institute of the Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Thomas was awarded the “Philadelphia Resident of the Year Award” by that facility.
Dr. Thomas completed his training in psychoanalysis at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. He is an active member of the American Psychoanalytic and International Psychoanalytic Associations. Dr. Thomas encourages peoples’ desire to heal and grow personally within the Partial Hospitalization Program and in his private practice.
Mitchell Robert C. Kho, M.D.
Dr. Mitchell Kho is a board certified psychiatrist and, primarily, a mental health advocate.
Dr. Kho looks at psychiatric cases, not only as the individual struggling with the disease, but as the whole family besieged by the crushing effects of mental illness. He engages the family to become active participants of the psychiatric treatment of their loved ones.
Dr. Kho looks at cases in a holistic way. He comes from a combined training in Psychiatry and Internal Medicine. He has been involved in the integration of behavioral health and medical services since his Consultation & Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship training. All throughout his professional career, he has maintained a focus on the Mind-Body Connection. Dr. Kho is mindful with each patient’s “psychology regarding psychopharmacology.” His treatment approach to psychiatric health is in concert with one’s physical well-being, and vice-versa.
Dr. Kho is able to treat various mental health illnesses, and his philosophy regarding psychopharmacological intervention is “less is more.”
Dr. Kho’s clinical experience ranges from mental health disorders from the adolescents, to adulthood, and through the geriatric population. He has worked in various clinical practice environments from a career in correctional setting, including juvenile detention centers, to a combined Med-Psych inpatient unit in a teaching hospital. Dr. Kho entered the Managed Care Industry in 2008, where he worked in both commercial and public business sectors, and led Utilization and Quality Management departments. He had critical team involvement in new business acquisition; developed cost-efficient benefit plans; and also carried out integrated physical/behavioral health program initiatives. Dr. Kho returned to the Horsham Clinic in 2017.
Marina Shainsky, M.D.
Dr. Shainsky is board certified adult psychiatrist. She joined The Horsham Clinic in 2017 and works on Horsham’s Adult Units. Prior to that, she worked at Holy Redeemer Hospital.
Dr. Shainsky graduated from SUNY Downstate School of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY and completed her residency at Drexel University/Hahnemann.
Juliet Muzere, D.O.
Dr. Juliet Muzere officially joined the Horsham Clinic Team in August 2017. She had prior experience at Horsham due to her inpatient child and adolescent rotations as a fellow as well as working as a moonlighter in the Admissions Department. She completed her fellowship from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in 2017. Her residency in Adult Psychiatry was completed at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA and medical school training was completed at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (formerly UMD NJ School of Osteopathic Medicine) in New Jersey.
During her residency, her research involved understanding help-seeking decision making among black women with PTSD. She also received an APA award: APA/SAMHSA Minority fellowship and used the grant to increase mental health awareness in the city of Atlanta via the incorporation of mental health lectures and dissemination of materials at schools, churches and health fairs, to name a few. During her fellowship, she was an AACAP Systems of Care Project recipient and initiated a project that assessed mental health providers’ attitudes towards screening for substance use in the outpatient mental health setting.
Her area of interests include mood disorders, ADHD, substance use disorders and trauma.
Shameem Momin, M.D.
Dr. Shameem Momin, M.D. is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Dr. Momin graduated from Zaporozhye State Medical University, and completed her Residency at Virginia Commonwealth University at Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Momin completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship from Medical College of Georgia at Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Momin worked on research project of Stress in Military families related to Deployment and Families coping styles and served as the Chief Resident at Medical College of Georgia/Augusta University during her fellowship.
Dr. Momin joined The Horsham Clinic in July 2017. She works as the Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Horsham’s Delaware County Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program in Broomall, Pennsylvania. Her areas of clinical interest include genetics in psychiatric disorders, ADHD, early onset of Schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, PTSD, mood disorders in children and patient education.
James Yi, M.D., PhD
Dr. Yi is Board Certified in both Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He earned both his Medical Degree and Ph.D. (in Molecular Biology and Genetics) from Temple University School of Medicine. He completed an Adult Psychiatry Residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He completed additional Fellowships in Neuropsychiatry (at the University of Pennsylvania) and in Immunology (at CHOP) prior to joining the Horsham Clinic in 2016.
While at CHOP, he served as a Chief Resident for Inpatient Services and as a member of the Safety and Restrain Committee. He received the Elizabeth B. Weller Distinguished Award for excellence in clinical care. While at UPenn, he conducted research focusing on the impact of inflammation on psychiatric disorders as well as early intervention and treatment for children with psychotic symptoms. He has presented both nationally and internationally and has over a dozen peer-reviewed publications.
At Horsham, he serves as an Attending Psychiatrist on our adolescent units. He is also the Director of Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. He believes in a collaborative team approach to patient care and strives to engage various agencies including families, schools and outpatient providers in delivering his care.
Nikkisha P. McCrea, M.D.
Nikkisha P. McCrea, M.D. is board certified in Internal Medicine. She graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana, summa cum laude, and later obtained her medical degree from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, then joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine. Responsibilities included teaching residents, interns, and medical students on inpatient general medicine and consult services. Dr. McCrea has a particular interest in providing quality care for vulnerable populations. She also served as an Assistant Clinical Informatics Officer for the health system and lead projects designed to improve transitions in care.
Dr. McCrea joined The Horsham Clinic to serve as Director of Clinical Services in 2016. In this role, she provides clinical oversight to the medical team and clinical nutrition team. She has implemented order sets to establish standards of care for common presentations, collaborated with a physician workgroup to institute clinical detox protocols for our dual diagnosis programs, and serves as a physician leader for the hospital’s Infection Control Committee.
