Identifying and Breaking Through Schemas

This presentation is based on the work of Jeffrey Young. The workshop will assist clinicians in case conceptualization and identifying the core issues that a client faces. Life traps or schemas are unconscious patterns of behavior that we repeat throughout our lives. We will identify our own life traps and understand how they have impacted us.

Turning Postvention into Prevention

This training, presented by Rachel Previte and Hunter Robbins of Access Services, is appropriate for school personnel involved with student intervention/assistance, looks at supporting students on several levels after an event at school. We will look at how to support students on an individual basis, how to support the entire student body and how to make your school community focus on prevention. A continental breakfast will be served at 9:00 a.m., and the lecture begins at 9:30 a.m. Tours will be available following the presentation.

For each lecture, three (3) credit hours are approved for the following disciplines:

  • Social work
  • Licensed professional counselor
  • Marriage and family therapist & Pennsylvania Certification Board
  • (PCB) – Substance abuse and other behavioral health professionals


$35.00 pre-registration required. $45.00 at the door.
